Shades Dancewear is an independent, female-founded, inclusive UK brand redefining what representation across dance and the performing arts means.
Unfortunately as of May 2026, Shades Dancewear has made the heartbreaking decision to close their business effective immediately.

Shades has been an incredible force for inclusivity, confidence and representation in the dance community with their amazing range of ballet and jazz shoes, convertible tights, and dancewear.

While we are devastated to see this chapter end for Shades, we are incredibly proud to have supported their mission and to have shared their beautiful products with the DanceXtras family.

What this means for DanceXtras:
While Shades has closed down, DanceXtras still has stock available in our online store for Australian customers.
Unfortunately, this does mean that once sizes sell out, we will be unable to restock their range of dancewear and footwear.
